Transfer & Prior Learning Credits
Core Curriculum (General Studies)
Southwest Bible College
& Seminary offers faculty directed external degree programs. No campus time
is required.
The open book method of instruction and test exams are applied in most
cases. Final exams and actual ministry requirements may be necessary for some
degree programs.
You may enroll at any time and your degree is granted upon your completion
of your program. Your diploma will be issued when all course work is completed
and all tuition is paid.
Southwest Bible College and Seminary evaluates the contents of all course material.
Only sound, quality Biblical material is approved. The courses cover an
extensive selection of the subject material one should expect to find in a
traditional Christian College or Seminary. Of course no book takes the place of
"The Book", i.e.; the Bible. S.B.C.S. is a Bible College and the
Bible is the heart of all our study material.
Each course comes with complete; instructions for course work and testing.
Textbooks or workbooks are used for most courses, however some courses are on
cassette tapes with an accompanying syllabus.
Grades are reported to the student on a monthly statement. The statement is
sent the first week of each month showing the tuition balance and grades for
courses received.
The student may call at any time concerning questions about his/her
classes. The number to call for assistance with course work is: 318-824-3344.
Each course in the undergraduate program
(A.A. and/ or B.A.), is worth 3 credit hours, unless otherwise noted.
Each course in the graduate and post graduate (Seminary Level) program is
worth 4 credit hours, unless otherwise noted.
· We accept transfer credits from approved
colleges or other approved organizations.
· Credit given for life/Ministerial experience
in the BA and MA programs only.
· Military service will be evaluated for
credits.
· Seminars approved by SBCS will be
evaluated.

ministerial and life/work experience and apply credit as per SBCS accrediting
guidelines. These credits can be applied to each degree through the Master's

hours may be earned for each year of ministry, church staff, evangelism,
